The Tool Strip
IBeam Tool
- Select the IBEAM tool.
- If you now move the
mouse on top of a text box, then the cursor changes to DOTTED IBEAM
cursor.
- On clicking the text
box with this cursor, the cursor changes to SOLID IBEAM.
- Also the boundary of
the text box will become black indicating the currently selected text
chain.
- English/Urdu Toggle (Press Spacebar to
work between Urdu/English)
- Choosing Urdu Font
- Typographic Preferences
- Keyboards Preferences
After
entering text you can apply different formatting using ribbon in IBEAM mode.
There are two modes available in Inpage. You can edit and apply text or picture
formatting using ribbon in Text or Picture Edit mode by selecting IBEAM tool.
You can also use ribbon for working with objects by using Arrow tool.

Ribbon
is bar which shows the property of selected object. It shows the options
relevant to the selected tool and objects. If you are working with Ibeam tool
it will show you paragraph formatting tools. When you select Arrow tool it will
also show options regarding selected objects.

Textbox
Creation
To
create a Textbox first select Text Box Tool. Now you can create a textbox in
the following two ways–
With Mouse
Click
in the Document Area, drag the mouse with mouse button pressed.
If
you want to create square Textbox keep the SHIFT pressed while dragging the
mouse.
Leave
the mouse button when the requisite dimensions of the Text Box have been
achieved.
With Textbox object Ribbon
A
textbox object ribbon appears with its dimensions appearing as blank.
Enter
the left-top (or right top for right to left documents) and width and height
dimensions of the required textbox. Press Enter.

To create a
Textbox
first select Text Box Tool. Now you can create a textbox
To Select a Text Box Move the mouse so that the arrow cursor gets displayed
over the textbox. Click the mouse button on top of the textbox.
To move an object, you should first select the Arrow Tool. Now select
the object that you want to move. You can move a selected object by pressing
the mouse button on top of the object. While keeping the mouse pressed, move
the mouse.
Resizing an Object from Ribbon or Dialog Box
In the ribbon (or in
the Format Object dialog) corresponding to selected object, enter the new
dimensions. Press Enter.
Title Text Box is a Text Box with text bounds only on three sides. The fourth side is floating and is actually decided by the amount of text inside the Title Text Box. the bottom is flexible. As you enter text into Title Text Box, the flexible side gets recalculated.
You can use the text box in the
InPage window for separating the document. You can get print in Urdu &
English with different formats & styles. You can also use Title Text box in
Master page for inserting page number or any text / title (like header &
footer?).
A Title Text Box is used for headlines,
page numbers etc. Following are some features of Title Text Box.

To create a Title Textbox first select Title Text Box
Tool.

Click in the Document Area, drag the mouse to create the title textbox
size.
- A title textbox ribbon appears with its dimensions width or the
height of the title textbox will appear.
- Enter the left-top (or right top for right to left documents) and
width or height dimensions of the required title textbox. Press Enter.
To select a title textbox you need to carry out
following steps
- Select the Arrow Tool.
- Move the mouse so that the arrow cursor gets
displayed over the title textbox.
- Click the mouse button on top of the title
textbox.
- The title textbox gets selected with two handles
appearing in black.
- If the title textbox is locked then the two
handles appear in gray color.
Object Moving
To
move an object, you should first select the Arrow Tool. Now select the object
that you want to move. You can move a selected object in one of the following
ways
- With Arrow Keys
- With Ribbon/Format Object Dialog
Object Resizing
A
selected object can be resized in one of the following two ways

With Mouse click & drag the Object with resize arrow cursor
·
From Ribbon or Dialog Box
Picture Boxes
The picture
box defines the bounds within which the picture can be pasted.
Picture box Creation
To create a
Picture box first select one of the three Picture box Tools. Now you can create
a picture box in the following two ways
With Mouse
- Click in the Document Area, drag the mouse with
mouse button pressed.
- If you want to create square picture box keep the
SHIFT pressed while dragging the mouse.
- Release the mouse button when the requisite
dimensions of the picture box have been achieved.
With Picture box object Ribbon
- A picture box object ribbon
appears with its dimensions appearing as blank.
- Enter the left-top (or
right top for right to left documents) and width and height dimensions of
the required picture box.
- Press Enter.

Picture
box enables two different modes one for object modification and second for its
content modification. Picture can be modify or format by picture ribbon with
IBEAM tool and picture box can be modify by object ribbon with Arrow Tool.You can modify picture using:
- Changing Position

- Changing Brightness
& Contrast
- Rotating
- Mirror
